SAVE from its inception is supporting vulnerable community particularly vulnerable women to ensure food security through implementation of different activities at field level. In particular, SAVE successfully implemented two Projects entitled “Vulnerable Group Development (VGD)” project with the support of the Department of the Women Affairs, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs & World Food Programme (WFP) in Rangamati and Bandarban districts of Bangladesh.
SAVE in close collaboration of the Locally Elected Bodies of the Union Parishad and Upazila Women Affairs Department ensure food security to 6,500 VGD card holders through monthly food and nutrition supply. Besides, the project provided different Income Generating training and life skills training.
SAVE is dedicated to building the capacity of the beneficiaries to enable them to lead empowered and self-sufficient lives. Through targeted training programs, education support, and livelihood enhancement initiatives, we equip individuals with essential knowledge and skills. Considering this SAVE organized different capacity building training for vulnerable and marginalized women in different areas of the country through it different projects:
Considering the empowerment of community in particular vulnerable women SAVE organized different income generating activities training with the support of different projects entitled “Vulnerable Group Development” . SAVE provided Primary Health Care services to vulnerable community including operations of Satellite Clinics, Health Camp, Eye Camp, health awareness, education on Cleanliness etc. SAVE has made a significant impact by extending health and nutrition support to 4,500 beneficiaries, marking a critical step toward fostering healthier and more empowered lives within our communities. Besides, SAVE provided nutritional support to 6500 vulnerable women by supplying of food under Vulnerable Group Development (VGD) program supported by Department of Women Affairs and World Food Programme (WFP).
Our dedicated efforts have encompassed a range of activities tailored to address various aspects of health and nutrition. Through specialized training programs and educational support, we have empowered these beneficiaries with the skills necessary to make informed choices about their health and dietary practices. This not only positively influences their physical well-being but also contributes to their overall quality of life.
The health and nutrition support provided by SAVE extends beyond knowledge dissemination. We have actively worked to promote healthier lifestyles, emphasizing disease prevention, hygiene practices, and proper nutrition. By empowering our beneficiaries to adopt healthier habits, we are laying the foundation for improved long-term health outcomes and a higher standard of living.
SAVE is dedicated to promoting and safeguarding human rights at the aim of dignity, equality and justice for all. SAVE educates communities about their fundamental rights and empower them through workshops, seminars, and awareness campaign at community level with the support of different donor agencies. SAVE regularly organize Community meeting to prevent violence against women and children. It also formed Gender Based Violence Prevention Committee (GBVPC) at community level to identify the cases of violence, take preventive measures and providing referral services.
Besides, SAVE regularly organize orientation session with the students of class VII-X to prevent early marriage and the students are working as frontline workers at their community. By this time, SAVE raised awareness among 25000 vulnerable women and 4400 students against gender based violence including early marriage, wife battering, dowry, trafficking of women and children etc. Besides, SAVE refers the victims of violence to service providers for shelter, legal assistance and counseling support.
